At the forefront of our team is Dr. Naresh Ahuja, a highly respected bariatric surgeon and the founder of Ahuja Bariatric & Beyond. With extensive experience and expertise, Dr. Ahuja has helped thousands of patients reclaim their health and improve their quality of life. As the first fellowship-trained surgeon to establish a comprehensive multidisciplinary weight loss surgery program in southern Illinois, he is recognized as a pioneer in the field.
Dr. Ahuja’s credentials speak to his commitment to excellence. He completed his internship, residency, and research fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington. Additionally, he pursued a fellowship in Bariatric & Advanced Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh. Dr. Ahuja is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
